ACAC

Saw Nancy M and Faye S. both looked great. Nancy acknowledged my presence. Probably a strain on Faye. Those two have been very close. Think highly of both. It will be difficult to see folks from former employer. Eventually it will get easier.
I didn't like the drive on Pantops. Hated the walk through the forest just to get to the unit. Couldn't get close to the hospital to park. Odd thing is that for some reason there was a heavy deer population in the area. Would see the deers mainly at night but occasionally in the day too. One fascination that I had with the 'forest' walk is the large cement area near the building. Two or 3 helicopters could land there as long as the wings cleared one another. Great accessibility in emergency maneuvers. Beautiful setting and wonderful opportunity to have worked in a beautiful hospital.

I was too ill to get involved in the hospital planning, I doubted if my input would had made a difference. I know of several decisions that they made are very dangerous in a natural or man made disaster. Just hope there is a backup operation system in place. Laundry , central supplies and in house communication system within the hospital as well as a system for the hospital to communicate to the outside. I would want a computerized as well as real switchboard personnel. Could be dangerous to outsource any essential operations. Wonder how many hospitals outsource laundry, & other key functions of facility operations???

Am I missing something. Is there something I am unaware of???
